Note: Engine DJ 5.1.0 is exclusive to Denon DJ PRIME 4 G2 users. A future Engine OS update may introduce support for additional hardware features, where applicable.

New Features

• Day One update for the Denon DJ PRIME 4 G2, enabling new features and optimized performance. This update is recommended for all PRIME 4 G2 customers.

• New MPCe Performance Pad Modes and improvements delivering expanded creative performance capabilities.* 
  • Auto Loop Stems – Instantly combine Auto Loops with Acapella or Instrumental stem isolation for dynamic transitions.
  • Hot Cue Stems – Trigger Hot Cues with isolated vocals or instrumentals, perfect for mashups, beat juggling, and creative remixing.
  • Hot Cue Roll – Perform expressive cue-based rolls with multiple timing divisions. 
  • XY FX – Control effect parameters in real time using MPC-style XY pad gestures. 
  • Roll FX – Combine performance rolls and effects for impactful build-ups, drops, and transitions. 
  • Quantized Stem Performance – Quantize support now extends to compatible stem-based pad modes for tighter, more precise performances.
  • Lighting Performance Overrides – Expressive control of key Engine Lighting performance effects directly from the performance pads.
  • Lighting Color & Position Overrides – Instantly access and manipulate lighting color and movement controls from the pads.
  • Lighting Autoloop Bank Control – Quickly select and manage Engine Lighting Autoloop Banks.
  • Lighting Autoloops – Trigger up to 32 lighting Autoloops directly from the performance pads. 
  • Lighting Static Looks – Access and trigger up to 32 preset lighting scenes. 
  • Enhanced Lighting Navigation – Use Parameter buttons to seamlessly switch between Engine Lighting pad modes.

Additional Enhancements

• Added a Mirror Favorite FX Banks option, allowing FX Bank 1 and FX Bank 2 to stay synchronized when enabled. When turned off, each FX unit can have independent favorites. 
• Added a Zone Output Limiter.
• Pad Modes can now be accessed directly from the Performance Pad widget via the Pad Mode icon on the performance view.
• Added a visual effect when entering MPCe performance pad modes. This can be disabled in the settings menu. 
• You can now adjust the Noise FX level in MPCe pad modes using the Noise FX control.
• Removed unnecessary Track End Warning notifications while scratching.
• Added Stem EQ Soft Takeover LED feedback to Center Wheel Displays for improved visibility during performance.
• Mixer channel input assignments are now retained after power cycling.
• General Center Wheel Display enhancements and usability improvements.
• Added the ability to choose whether crossfaders, channel faders, or both trigger Fader FX.

• Improved drag-and-drop performance for faster and more responsive track management.
• Fixed an issue where selecting Remove Stems from Collection did not remove stems that were actively rendering or queued for rendering.
• Improved Auto-Relocate Lost Files performance by prioritizing relocated files found in common user folders, such as Music and Documents, even when duplicate copies exist across multiple drives.
• Fixed an issue where Re-import Track Information could unintentionally remove track artwork.
• Fixed a graphics rendering issue on Windows 10 and Windows 11 that could cause application instability.
• Improved reliability during large database migrations to prevent potential freezes or crashes.
• Fixed a startup issue that could occur when a corrupted database file was present.
• Improved loading performance for third-party music libraries in Engine DJ Desktop.
