macOS Catalina (10.15) introduced background processes that resulted in the operating system deleting firmware from connected display devices. The NS7III Display was affected by this; upon initial connection, the display will read "Erasing, Please wait" followed by a prompt to run a firmware update. The good news is that this can be remedied by installing the required driver for macOS Catalina and installing the firmware onto the NS7III Display.

Installing the NS7III Display Firmware

    NS7III | MacOS Catalina Driver

  2. Disconnect the USB cable from the Main NS7III unit from the display (highlighted below)

  3. Download and run the NS7III Firmware Updater app from the link below.

    NS7III | Display Firmware

Upon successfully updating the display firmware, your NS7III display will reboot and start as normal.

NOTE - If the firmware update fails, simply try the process again. If it continues to fail, you may find success attempting the firmware update on a Windows computer.

Failed to Connect - MIDI (Serato DJ Pro)

If you are receiving a "Failed to Connect - MIDI" error in Serato after successfully updating the firmware on your NS7III Displays, the USB cable referenced above was not disconnected, and resulted in firmware complications within the main NS7III unit. This can be fixed by applying the NS7III firmware via .syx file.

IMPORTANT - ONLY apply this firmware if you previously experienced the display firmware issue mentioned above and immediately received this error. If you received this error without your display prompting for firmware, this process can damage your unit and will require service
